Gushcloud International has officially stepped onto the global stage as team owner of the Singapore–Malaysia contingent in X The League (XTL), a first-of-its-kind international live commerce competition bringing together 32 creator-led teams across eight countries.
Hosted by global stars BamBam and Tiffany Young, the series will premiere on 23 March 2026 and run through 11 April 2026, streaming across major global OTT platforms.
A Milestone for Singapore’s Creator Economy
Live commerce—where creators sell products directly to audiences in real time—has rapidly evolved into a US$600 billion global industry. XTL brings this format into a competitive arena, combining entertainment, performance, and real-time selling.
This marks a significant milestone for Singapore, which is fielding a team in a global live commerce league of this scale for the first time.
Representing the region is a unified Singapore–Malaysia team led by Jian Hao Tan, one of Southeast Asia’s most-watched YouTube creators with over 7 million subscribers. He is joined by Debbie Soon, alongside Malaysian creators Sonia and Elle Onni.
“Singapore may be the smallest market in the competition, but that’s also our advantage,” said Jian Hao Tan. “We’ve always had to think creatively, be more resourceful, and look beyond our borders.”
From Influence to Performance
X The League challenges creator-led teams through multi-round live selling competitions, where success is measured by both audience engagement and commercial performance. With a prize of US$500,000, the stakes go beyond content—placing creators in the role of strategists and operators on a global stage.
The format reflects a broader shift in the creator economy: creators are no longer just building audiences—they are driving measurable business outcomes.
For Singapore and the wider region, strong performance in the league could demonstrate that local creators can compete globally not only in reach, but in revenue generation.
Powering Cross-Border Collaboration
As team owner, Gushcloud International will lead the Singapore–Malaysia contingent’s live-selling strategy, coordinate cross-border collaboration, and manage execution throughout the competition.
This initiative highlights Gushcloud’s regional infrastructure, which spans 12 markets across Asia-Pacific, the United States, and the Middle East, enabling creators to scale beyond their local markets.
“This is the first time Singapore has fielded a team in a global live commerce league of this scale, and we’re entering as underdogs with something to prove,” said Joanne Liew, General Manager of Gushcloud Singapore.
“Competitions like X The League show how creator-led communities can turn influence into real commercial performance on a global stage.”
The Future of Creator-Led Commerce
X The League represents a new frontier where entertainment, commerce, and community converge. By combining live selling with competitive storytelling, the league offers a glimpse into the future of how creators engage audiences and generate revenue.
As Gushcloud and its creators take on the global stage, the message is clear: the creator economy is evolving—and live commerce is at the center of its next phase.
